Do you live in Expectation??

This morning I was reading a book my mom let me borrow a few months ago “Speed of Favor” by Tim Hill. It’s really good if you like to read and haven’t read it before. One statement I read today that really spoke to me was this one — “God will exceed your expectations if you expect Him to.”
Do you really expect God to exceed your expectations?
One of my favorite passages of Scripture that I stake my life upon is a promise found in Ephesians 3:20-21

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all the ages, world without end. Amen.”

I quote that verse over and over again. But I have to ask myself — Do I live in expectation that God will do greater things than I ask for and exceed anything I expect, even greater that I can imagine? I believe that we can expect miracles from God. I believe that He will answer the cry of our heart. I also believe that He will astonish us in how He brings things to pass – in ways that we would never imagine. I do live in expectation that God will not only meet my need, but provide for me in ways that blow my mind! So many times we ask God for a miracle and then walk away doubting He will answer. Or other times, we don’t even ask because we think He will do those things for everyone else but us!

I’m here to tell you today that if you abide in Him, and His words abide in you, that YOU can ask whatsoever you want and it shall be done (John 15:7-8). Do you need a miracle today?? Then come to the Father, asking, and believing, that Greater things He will do than you can imagine. Come expecting the miracle you desire!! Then walk away from your altar of prayer thanking Him for exceeding your expectations!

Phil 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
John 14:12-14 Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do: that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 16:23-24 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto, have ye asked nothing in my name; ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Psalm 37:4-5 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.
