Have you been there?? I have! You begin listening to the voice of the enemy who says, “See there?? You’ve done what you felt led to do and where has it gotten you? Right here in the middle of disappointment!!” He tells me that often. It’s then I have a choice to make. Am I going to listen to the voice that’s trying to distort reality? Or am I going to shut down his voice by digging around in Truth??
I’ll be honest with you. Sometimes I’ve listened to that voice telling me that obeying God wasn’t worth the struggle that followed and wallowed around in self-pity. You know where that got me?? Absolutely nowhere and actually feeling even worse. But when I have actually taken that struggle to God and dug around in His Word for weapons to fight back, I’ve gained strength; I’ve gained resolve to see my obedience through to victory!!
It didn’t come overnight and sometimes I even met more obstacles, but as I persevered through, pressing into God even more, sweet victory did come. On the other side of that obedience, I saw how God had moved mountains even when I felt like He was doing nothing!!
It’s not my job to understand!! It’s my job to obey and trust!!! If you’re standing in the middle of your obedience right now, and in the middle of your obedience is a bunch of disappointment and struggle, just keep obeying…just keep moving forward…just keep trusting and obeying…and you will see the fruit of that obedience!! Don’t give up and don’t go back!! You’ve got this!! More importantly, God’s got this!! 🙌🏻💥👊🏻💕
