Thirty Days of Thanks – Day 22

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! Today I am thankful for my blessings. There’s an old song that my brother sang in church when we were kids called “Thank You, Lord, for Your Blessings.” As I sit here in my house, sheltered from the cool air outside, I’m reminded of that song. “There’s a roof up above, I’ve a good place to sleep. There’s food on my table and shoes on my feet. You gave me your love, Lord, and a fine family. Thank you, Lord, for your blessings on me.”

My grandfather would always say, “I don’t live on Barely Get Along Avenue at the end of Grumbling Alley. I’m a Child of the King!” He might not have a penny in his pocket, or he might have a c-note, but his testimony was always the same! I’m thankful for the promises in God’s Word that He knows my need before I even ask (Matthew 6:8) and that whatever I ask in Jesus’ name, believing, it shall be done (John 14:13)

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
