Matthew 19:26 (CSB)

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

There’s a new song by Jamie MacDonald playing now titled “Ain’t No Way” that I love. Actually, I love everything I’ve heard from her. If you don’t know her music, look her up. The first part of this song says, “Every story told that ended with a miracle started out with impossible.” I’ve been thinking about how true that statement is. If it wasn’t impossible, we wouldn’t need a miracle. It’s at the end of our possible when we allow God to move and work on our behalf. If things were easy, aka possible, we would be able to rely on our abilities, strength, and knowledge. God allows us to face the impossible so He gets the glory for the miracle and for showing up and showing out for us.

Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 that Jesus’ power and strength is perfected in our weakness.

I walked through a dark season in my life, and the scripture Joshua 1:9 was a lifeline for me – and still is. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous, for God was with Him. During my darkness, I held firm to that promise.

At the end of that season, it did come to an end. I realized that it had never been my own strength and courage that had carried me through until the sun broke through. Because God was walking with me, His strength and His courage became mine.

I’m still believing God for the impossible today, and just as Jamie sings in the chorus – I know God won’t fail me. He’s done the impossible before, and He will do it again. Another song that I love is Firm Foundation and it declares God’s faithfulness and that He won’t fail.

My friend, you too can trust God’s promises, and when you’re facing the impossible, pray, believing God to do the impossible through faith and see your miracle come to life.
