Thirty Days of Thanks -Day 10

Day 10 of Thanksgiving

Today is my mom’s birthday, so in honor of her, I am thankful for Godly parents. She and my dad were given the great responsibility of raising my brother and me. It was not something they took lightly, for they dedicated us to the Lord when we were just infants. They weren’t perfect and made mistakes along the way, but those have been long forgotten.

They held on to the promise in Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” I am glad today that I was raised in a Christian home, where I witnessed living by faith, praising God through the storm, trusting Him for provision, and blessing others — sometimes out of your abundance but most times out of your obedience.

If you are a parent today, always remember that your children are watching and learning from you. May God bless each of your families. Happy birthday, Mama!!

Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. -Proverbs 31:28
