Day 13 of Thanksgiving
Today I am thankful that I can wear the Victor’s Crown because of my relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus. The first Sunday I visited Evangel Temple, almost five years ago, the choir sang Victor’s Crown. It blessed my heart that morning and was exactly what I needed to hear. I was in the midst of a battle and that song gave me hope that I would be victorious. Jesus has already won the victory for us through his death and resurrection. He lets us share in his victory though because He loves us that much. This song also says that high things will come down and strongholds will be broken (2 Corinthians 10:4) and we will overcome. (Revelation 12:11) I joined the choir not long after that and we have sung that song several times since. Every time, it blesses my heart. Many times when life’s demands are great and I feel overwhelmed or when I’ve made some bad choices, I don’t feel worthy to wear the Victor’s Crown. I have a pity party and the only person there is me. God shows up and reminds me that MY worthiness isn’t why I wear the Victor’s Crown, but it is Christ’s worthiness that He showers on me when I accept Him as Lord and Savior. I don’t fight alone; I don’t stand alone. I may not win the victory today, and I may not win it tomorrow. But God has promised me victory in my life through Christ Jesus!! What a wonderful promise we have today! If you’re in the middle of a fight today, grab hold of that Victor’s Crown and wear it for all to see! As we seek the Lord and follow His will for our lives, we will be victorious regardless of our circumstances!!
I Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
