Thirty Days of Thanks Day 3

This post is in honor of my cousin Vance (This picture is several years old, so we need to take a new picture) and my cousin-in-law Beth Andrews — it’s their birthday!! Today, I am thankful for family. As I thought about my family, I realize how blessed I am to have had such beautiful relationships with members of my family on both sides — paternal and maternal — cousins, uncles and aunts, great uncles and great aunts, and grandparents. What is family? To me, family are those friends whom God hand picked for me. I had absolutely nothing to do with choosing the family into which I was born, but God did! My family, like many of yours as well, has been a source of strength to me. We cry with each other in times of sorrow, hurt, and disappointments. We rejoice with each other in times of gladness and celebrations. We support each other through trials, storms of life, and endeavors. I can’t imagine walking this road called life without my family surrounding me. So thank you Lord for family!

Happy birthday, Vance and Beth! I love you!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

May God richly bless you,

Michelle Hanna
