Thirty Days of Thanks – Day 8

Day 8 of Thanksgiving

Today I am thankful for all of the teachers who helped mold me into the successful person I am today. I had many great teachers during my years at Manchester schools – Mrs. Johnson in 5th grade who cooked ho cakes for us; Mr. Wright in high school who would sing to us; Mrs. IdaAnn Bowen Dunn, who was always so caring and patient to help me learn government and American History; and many others who were so special to me. My aunt Susan Andrews also spent many years in education, and although she was never my teacher in school, she has taught me many valuable lessons in life. Many of my friends are teachers now, and I would like to thank them as well for their dedication to their profession and for everything that they do every day. We don’t thank teachers nearly enough! They are the real backbone of our future as a country because they are helping to mold future leaders!

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 ESV
