There are many times throughout my life that I’ve had to trust an unknown future to my known God. He has never failed me just as the Word says! I have the reassurance of the Word and I have the confirmation from my past experiences that He is faithful and He will carry me through the unknown. That means the unknown from job situations (and many of us are facing unknown times today), the unknowns from family situations and diagnoses, and the unknown related to Coronavirus. What I do know is that God is aware of all of my tomorrows. He knew about Coronavirus long before the world did. He knew who it would touch and He knew who it would affect. Right now it’s affecting the whole world in some way. He also knows that He will bring us through it and we will one day be on the other side! Can I encourage to carry His peace with you? Don’t allow other people’s fear to penetrate God’s peace. We need to be concerned for each other and we need to take precautions to protect ourselves, our families and each other, but we also need to remember that God is walking this beside us!! I’m so thankful that He gives me peace in the midst of chaos — whatever the chaos might be. I was reminded yesterday of a passage of Scripture that I love and that I quote quite often, but I heard it in a different light yesterday and it brought so much comfort and peace to me. Focus on what it means and it will bring that peace and comfort to you as well. She read from the NLT translation so that’s the version I’m going to use here. There are four directives at the beginning that we must follow and THEN we will experience His Peace that is beyond comprehension —
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
